AZ Appears in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
The Pokemon Presents livestream confirms that AZ makes an appearance in Pokemon Legends Z-A. He runs the hotel where the main protagonist is staying in Lumiose City.
Eternal Flower Floette Also Makes an Apperance
AZ's partner Pokemon, Eternal Flower Floette, also makes an appearance in the livestream.

Who is AZ?
The Immortal Former King of the Kalos Region
AZ in Pokemon X and Y first appeared as a mysterious wanderer that your player first meets in Route 13 and reminisces about a "flower" Pokemon before leaving.
He is then captured by the main villain Lysandre who reveals that he carries the key to the Ultimate Weapon around his neck.
It's at this point where AZ reveals himself as the 3000-year old former King of the Kalos Region who also created the Ultimate Weapon and was rendered immortal after being exposed to its power.
Challenges the Player at the End of the Game
AZ then re-appears at the end of the game to challenge your character during the celebration parade after becoming Champion.
Once defeated, he smiles and is reunited with his partner Pokemon, the Eternal Flower Floette, who descends from the sky.
