Pokemon Legends Z-A - Is Zygarde in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Is Zygarde in Pokemon Legends: Z-A?

Confirmed in the 2025 Pokemon Presents

Zygarde has been confirmed for Pokemon Legends: Z-A through the February 2025 Pokemon Presents! Only its 10% form was shown in the Presents, but all Zygarde forms have been featured on the Pokemon website. The trailer also showed a Zygarde Cell crawling around.

This may hint to a Zygarde Cell collection mechanic similar to the one in the Pokemon Sun and Moon games.

Likely the Central Pokemon in the Game

Pokemon Legends Z-A

Zygarde will likely feature as the central character in the game due to the letter Z prominently featured in the logo. The letter Z on the logo features a hexagonal pattern similar to Zygarde's Cells.

Zygarde is a Legendary Pokemon that first appeared in Pokemon X and Y and is the third member of the Kalos Legendary Trio alongside Xerneas and Yveltal.

Due to all three Pokemon sharing Aura-related Abilities, the Legendary Trio is widely referred to as the Aura Trio by fans.

Zygarde Has Three Forms

Zygarde has three forms that the Legendary Pokemon can change into depending on the amount of Zygarde Cells it has. These forms have different stats but share the same Abilities.

In Pokemon X and Y, you can change Zygarde into its 10% and 50% form by interacting with the Zygarde Cube.

Zygarde will only turn into its Complete Form if it has the Power Construct Ability once its HP falls below half its maximum.

What was Zygarde's Role in Past Games?

Not Featured in the Story

Although part of the Kalos Trio, Zygarde is notably absent from Pokemon X and Y's story, with its 50% Forme only appearing in Terminus Cave after completing the game.

The Legendary Pokemon does appear as part of a subplot involving its cells in Pokemon Sun and Moon and later Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon where players can freely switch it between its 10% and 50% formes, though it also doesn't have an impact on the plot of those games.
