|
• Unique Outro provides Energy Regen for DPS. Can effectively be paired with a Main DPS that relies on their Liberation • Requires low field time to execute her combos • Her Liberation provides high grouping capabilities • Free 4-star Character. Can be obtained at the start of the game |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
| • S0 provides no buffing capabilities apart from Energy Regen increase. Can be negated by her S6, which gives a team-wide ATK buff |
Yangyang is a free Sub-DPS character that can provide some added utility to the team, such as grouping enemies and funneling Resonance Energy to the Main DPS.
As a character, however, she significantly falls off due to the lack of DMG buffs that most teams generally benefit more from.

Yangyang requires around 140% Energy Regen to be effective as a sub-DPS with her on-field time. After that, build her with the usual Crit. Ratio requirements. Try to also get Liberation DMG sub-stats to increase her damage with her main skill.
| Main Echo | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
・Provides general shield protection for the team when Yangyang is your Sub-DPS. ・Increases DMG dealt and reduce incoming damage. ・Shield effect can transfer to the next character. |
|
|
・Increases Yangyang's overall Aero DMG. ・Great when using Yangyang as a damage dealer. ・Use Feillian Beringal if you don't have access to Rinascita yet. |
|
|
・Restores Yangyang's Resonance Energy so she can cast her Ultimate more. ・Increases the next character's DMG dealt, good for a semi-support role for Yangyang. |
| Echo Set | Rating |
|---|---|
|
(5-pc) |
★★★ - Best Equipping Yangyang with a 5 pc. Moonlit Clouds set allows her to be more support-oriented since using her Outro Skill will buff the ATK of the character swapping in for a couple of seconds. Recommended Main Echo: |
|
(5-pc) |
★★☆ - 2nd Best If you want Yangyang to be more damage-oriented, give her a 5 pc. Sierra Gale to increase her Aero DMG. Using this set, however, will lessen the buffs given to Yangyang’s teammate, considering Yangyang only gives ER buffs with no DMG increases. Recommended Main Echo: |
|
(2-pc) (2-pc) |
★☆☆ - 3rd Best If you do not have a full set of the ones recommended above, you can opt for a mix of both sets while you are still farming more Echoes. Recommended Main Echo: |

Emerald of Genesis is the best weapon to get for Yangyang due to its stats and skill, allowing her to reach her Energy Regen requirements more easily.
As for alternative options, Yangyang can use the premium Blazing Brilliance due to its high stat benefits and general buffs. You may also use Commando of Conviction or Lunar Cutter, as they improve Yangyang's on-field time with the ATK buffs.

| * Celestial Light is recommended as an early game option, but is better replaced with the Eternal Radiance set for Rover (Spectro) as you progress through the game. | |
This team composition revolves around Yangyang feeding Energy using her Outro Skill to Rover (Spectro) to charge their Resonance Liberation. With this being an early-game team comp, Baizhi will be the team's healer and also buff the team's damage.
| 1 | Yangyang starts the battle and charges her Concerto Energy until the other character's Resonator icons glow up. She can use her Liberation to group up small enemies and quickly use her Resonance Skill to damage the enemies before swapping out. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Once Rover (Spectro) is fully charged, you can switch to them so they can use their Intro Skill, dealing some Spectro DMG. Switching from Yangyang to the Rover (Spectro) will restore their Resonance Energy. |
| 3 | Once Rover (Spectro)'s Resonance Liberation can be used, cast it to dish out some AoE Spectro DMG. Then, follow it up with some Basic Attack to charge their Forte Gauge, use their Resonance Skill, and do a couple of Basic Attacks after. |
| 4 | Switch to Yangyang again once the Intro Skill has fully charged up. If you need healing, switch to your Baizhi and use their healing skill for some healing. |
| 5 | Repeat the steps until all enemies are defeated! |

Yangyang can fit in most teams due to her general value and playstyle. Any DPS unit that relies on their Liberation being available during their uptime will benefit from her Outro.

|
|
This video is sped up to 150% and is mainly meant to show Yangyang's playstyle. You can opt to change her combos depending on the situation.
| ① | Gain one Melody using her Intro Skill or Heavy Attack into Basic Attack. Then, cast her Liberation to group enemies together while doing multiple ticks of damage. |
|---|---|
| ② | Proceed to build up her Forte with Heavy Attacks into Basic Attacks. You can also use your Resonance Skill to get 1 Melody. |
| ③ | Cast Echo Skill to activate its passive, then do a Heavy Attack to enter the air and attack with Feather Release. |
| ④ | Lastly, use her Outro to swap to the next Resonator. You can animation cancel this with her Mid-air attack. |

Your goal during Yangyang's short field time is to optimally charge her Forte Circuit gauge by obtaining Melody stacks.
| Ability | How to Do |
|---|---|
| Intro Skill | Switch in to Yangyang when the Concerto Energy is full. |
| Heavy Attack: Zephyr Song |
HA → BA or Dodge Counter → BA |
| Full Basic Attack Chain | BA1 → BA2 → BA3 → BA4 |
When Yangyang switches in when the Concerto Energy is full, she obtains one Melody due to her Intro Skill. Using her Resonance Skill will then provide an additional Melody.
The final way to get a Melody stack depends on the situation you are facing. In most cases, you want to perform 4 consecutive Basic Attacks to maximize her damage on-field.
After obtaining three Melodies, cast Heavy Attack: Stormy Strike and then follow it up with a Mid-air Attack: Feather Release.
To do the charged attacks, long press the Basic Attack button. Then, tap the button again when Yangyang is in mid-air for her to dive down!
Yangyang's Liberation creates a cyclone in front of her, deals Aero DMG, and gathers nearby enemies. Ideally, you want to cast her Liberation when Yangyang switches in so that all of her succeeding attacks hit all the gathered enemies!
Yangyang's Outro Skill recovers four Resonance Energy per second, which lasts for five seconds. Trigger this ability by fully charging the Concerto Energy. Then, make sure that you swap out to your DPS to charge their Liberation!
You can hold Heavy Attack during her Resonance Skill so that it charges and immediately goes off once the animation ends. Use this as often as possible so that you can activate her Forte Circuit as soon as possible.
Once her Mid-Air Attack lands and she's grounded, you can swap out to a different character since the final animation will not get cancelled. Use this in her Outro Skill combos to maximize her Echo Skill's buff timers.
| Impermanence Heron / Bell-Borne Geochelone Combo |
|---|
| Intro Skill / (HA → BA) → Res. Liberation → Res. Skill → HA → BA → Echo Skill → HA → MAA → Outro Skill (During MAA's Grounded Animation) |
| Feilian Beringal Combo |
| Intro Skill / (HA → BA) → Echo Skill → Res. Liberation → Res. Skill → HA → BA → HA → MAA → Outro Skill (During MAA's Grounded Animation) |
This is Yangyang's ideal full DPS rotation. When you do this combo with her Liberation, she'll generate enough Concerto Energy to use her Outro Skill, so you won't have to worry about weaving in extra Basic Attacks to fill the meter.
If you are using the Nightmare: Feilian Beringal, use it anytime during the combo as the Echo skill is only for dealing damage.
| General Combo |
|---|
| Intro Skill / (HA → BA) → Res. Skill → HA → BA → HA → MAA |
| No Resonance Skill Combo |
| Intro Skill / (HA → BA) → (HA → BA) x2 → HA → MAA |
This is Yangyang's standard DPS combo to generate Concerto and Resonance Energy. If she has the Energy to use her Outro Skill or Liberation, you can look at her Basic and Full Outro Skill Combos respectively.
| Impermanence Heron / Bell-Borne Geochelone Combo |
|---|
| Intro Skill / (HA → BA) → Res. Skill → HA → BA → Echo Skill → HA → MAA → Outro Skill (During MAA's Grounded Animation) |
| Feilian Beringal Combo |
| Intro Skill / (HA → BA) → Echo Skill → Res. Skill → HA → BA → HA → MAA → Outro Skill (During MAA's Grounded Animation) |
This is the Outro Skill Combo you'll use if her Liberation isn't available. If you don't generate enough Concerto Energy with this combo, you may need to use a few more Basic Attacks or a Forte Circuit Combo until it's available.
Similar to the Full Combo, if you are using the Nightmare: Feilian Beringal, use it anytime during the combo as the Echo skill is only for dealing damage.

| Skill | Priority | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Attack | ★★☆☆☆ | Her Basic Attacks are only really used to generate Melody charges for her Forte Circuit. Even if you'll be using this often, it's still a lower priority when compared to her higher priority skills. |
| Resonance Skill | ★★★★☆ | Yangyang's Resonance Skill is her secondary form of crowd-control, but you'll still use this more often than not. You can choose to upgrade this before her Forte Circuit if you prefer to spam this Skill's utility over her Forte Circuit's damage. |
| Forte Circuit | ★★★★☆ | Outside of her Liberation, this will be Yangyang's primary source of damage. As mentioned earlier, this Skill's priority is interchangeable with her Resonance Skill depending on your preference of her Resonance Skill's utility or her Forte Circuit's damage. |
| Resonance Liberation | ★★★★★ | This is Yangyang's most important Skill since her Resonance Liberation is her main source of crowd control, and it's also her strongest damaging move. Focus on upgrading this first before anything else. |
| Intro Skill | ★☆☆☆☆ | While the damage bonus is nice to have, this is still the lowest priority skill for Yangyang since every other skill has more benefit to upgrading them than this one. |
Yangyang's Resonance Liberation is her main source of damage and crowd control, so aim to upgrade that first. Afterward, upgrade her Resonance Skill and Forte Circuit because it also provides additional damage and CC, similar to her Resonance Liberation.
Her Basic Attack and Intro Skills have the lowest priority, as you would mostly use Yangyang as an Energy Battery via her Outro Skill.

| Why We Recommend It | |
|---|---|
| S1 | ★★★★☆ - Great S1 essentially buffs her entire kit's damage as she will get an Aero DMG Bonus for her Intro Skill. This is a great Node to have very early on. |
| S2 | ★★☆☆☆ - Okay This Sequence Node improves her Heavy Attack to help her build up her Liberation, but it can only be triggered once during her on-field time. It doesn't offer that much of a benefit to her kit. |
| S3 | ★★★★★ - Amazing Her S3 is one of the best investments you can get for Yangyang, as it essentially boosts her grouping capabilities by a lot for her Resonance Skill. |
| S4 | ★★★☆☆ - Good S4 boosts her Forte damage for her Mid-air Attacks which is a secondary damage source for her. This is a good node to get, but is typically outshined by her other nodes. |
| S5 | ★★★★☆ - Great Yangyang's primary skill is her Liberation, so this node buffs her own DPS by quite a lot. That said, her main value doesn't come from her damage. This upgrade is mostly nice to have if you're trying to get her to S6. |
| S6 | ★★★★★ - Amazing The best Sequence Node to get for Yangyang because of its team-wide ATK buff. This significantly enhances her Sub-DPS value, so aim for this if you can. |
| S1 | Sapphire Skies, Soaring Sparrows Intro Skill Cerulean Song increases Yangyang's Aero DMG Bonus by an additional 15% for 8s. |
|---|---|
| S2 | Nesting Twigs, in Beaks They Harrow Heavy Attack recovers an additional 10 Resonance Energy for Yangyang when it hits a target, which can be triggered 1 time every 20s. |
| S3 | Nature Sings in Symphony Resonance Skill DMG Bonus is increased by 40%. The Wind Field's pulling effect on surrounding targets is enhanced, and the pulling range is expanded by 33%. |
| S4 | Close Your Eyes and Listen in Mid-Air Attack Feather Release's damage is increased by 95%. |
| S5 | Wind Whisper in Harmony Resonance Liberation Wind Spiral's damage is increased by 85%. |
| S6 | A Tribute to Life's Sweet Hymn After casting Mid-air Attack Feather Release, the ATK of all team members is increased by 20% for 20s. |
