How to Unlock The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics - I
Find the Side Quest at Tiger's Maw Mine

You can find the side quest at the bottom of the Tiger's Maw Mine south of Jinzhou. Look for the Rambling and Wandering Engineer in front of a steel door to start the side quest.
The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics - I Walkthrough
Follow Mizhi to the Mechanics
Head back up to the upper level of the mine using the elevator at the center of the area. Once you reach the upper level, follow the blue marker and talk to Mizhi.
Solve the Mechanics
The next sequence changes from a top-down view to show where you need to push the Magnetic Cube towards the correct Magnetic Conveyors.
- Move the Cube to the East Side
- Move the Cube to the South Side
- Move the Cube to the West Side
- Move the Cube to the North Side
- Move the Cube to the West Side
- Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the Cube to the East Side
Use a basic attack to move the cube towards the east side onto the next Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side towards the next Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Attack the move from its east side to move it towards the west side.
Move the Cube to the North Side
Move the cube to the north side towards the topmost Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side towards the end point to solve the first Mechanics puzzle.
Report to Mizhi
Talk to Mizhi after solving the first Mechanics puzzle to proceed to the next objective.
Solve the Second Mechanics
The second puzzle introduces barriers that block directly to the end point, requiring you to move the cube around.
- Move the Cube to the North Side Two Times
- Move the Cube to the West Side
- Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the Cube to the North Side Two Times
Move the cube to the north side two times so it is on the top-left corner of the puzzle area.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side towards the nearby Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side towards the end point to complete the puzzle.
After solving the puzzle, talk to Mizhi again to progress the objective.
Solve the Third Mechanics
The third and final puzzle introduces destructible boxes and a hologram barrier that you can move using the control panel.
- Destroy the Two Boxes
- Interact with the Control Panel
- Move the Cube to the East Side
- Move the Cube to the South Side
- Move the Cube to the West Side
- Move the Cube to the West Side
- Interact with the Control Panel
- Move the Cube to the South Side
- Move the Cube to the East Side
Destroy the Two Boxes
Before moving the cube, destroy the two boxes on the puzzle area.
Interact with the Control Panel
Destroying the bottommost box reveals a control panel. Interact with it to move the hologram barrier.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Use a basic attack to move the cube towards the east side onto the next Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side towards the next Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side so it is south from the black barrier.
Move the Cube to the West Side
Move the cube to the west side again until it reaches the third to the last Magnetic Conveyor.
Interact with the Control Panel
Interact with the control panel to move the hologram barrier, allowing you to move the cube to the end point.
Move the Cube to the South Side
Move the cube to the south side towards the second to the last Magnetic Conveyor.
Move the Cube to the East Side
Move the cube to the east side towards the end point to solve the puzzle.
Report to Mizhi
Talk to Mizhi after completing the third puzzle to complete the side quest.
