How to Unlock Lost Ranger
Complete Chapter 1 Act 3 Main Quest Ominous Star
Lost Ranger automatically unlocks after completing Chapter 1 Act 3 Main Quest Ominous Star, and will be marked on the map within Jinzhou City.

Lost Ranger Walkthrough
Talk to Grandma Jue
Engage in a conversation with Grandma Jue and agree to help her find the Midnight Ranger named Guhong. Head over to the Ministry of War and inquire about his whereabouts to the officer stationed in front of the building. You will hear an audio transmission that gives a clue to his whereabouts.
Find Guhong
Fast travel to Camp Overlook by using the Huanglong-Desorock Highland-Camp Overwatch Resonance Beacon and head over to the quest area located within the lair of the Impermanence Heron.
You will find Guhong within the quest area, injured on the ground. Interacting with him will spawn enemies which you will have to defeat. After helping Guhong, report back to Grandma Jue in Jinzhou City and complete the quest after doing so.
Optional: Defeat the Impermanence Heron
You may choose to defeat the Impermanence Heron first before interacting with Guhong as helping him will spawn enemies that might cause you to accidentally wake the Impermanence Heron and attract its attention.
