Phrolova was a member of Fractsidus and served as one of the Rover’s adversaries in Wuthering Waves. Learn if Phrolova is dead, information on her character lore, and if she's playable here!

In every sense of the word, Phrolova is physically dead, stabbed by Bloodpact's Pledge when Rover threw it during a battle to recover the Gem. She fell on the water, silent and unyielding, into the abyssal depths of the Fabricatorium of the Deep, where her broken body now rests in eternal slumber.
However, conversations with Abby beside the mirror alludes that Phrolova is alive and has merged with the Lost Beyond. This proves that her death is only of the physical body and that Phrolova's remaining faint frequency still lives inside her created reality.

Though Phrolova's physical form has vanished, her frequency successfully merged with the Lost Beyond, a reality that recreated her village and allows the Rover to visit.
Abby mentioned that the Lost Beyond pulses together with the frequency of Phrolova and that she's alive, but only within the Lost Beyond.

Visiting Phrolova in the Lost Beyond will grant you the Trophy Il Aurait Suffi upon entering the Sonoro Sphere. Another Trophy will be granted to you after speaking to her, entitled Between Here and Beyond.

Before Phrolova became an Overseer of Fractsidus and earned her reputation as a conductor of discord, she lived a quiet life as a small-town violinist.
That got turned upside down when a shard of the Lament struck her village, destroying everything she loved and leaving her the sole survivor among the ruins. Corrupted by the Frequency, her altered body and mind clung desperately to the dream of restoring her lost home, no matter the cost.

After the great tragedy, Phrolova found herself in the grasp of the Fractsidus, driven by despair and the deep sting of betrayal after an old friend's promise failed to come true.
She joined their ranks willingly, using the organization as a means to pursue the impossible: resurrecting her village and the people she once held dear. Desperately clinging to the remnants of a life stolen from her, she was willing to pay any price, even if it meant discarding her humanity and defying death itself.

Without fail, Phrolova is always seen wielding a Spider Lily, also known as a Lycoris, guiding it with the grace and precision of a seasoned maestro. With a mere flick of her wrist, she can summon Tacet Discords, even seen commanding Hecate as part of her abilities.
These summons are haunting echoes of the lives she once loved, a twisted manifestation of grief and longing, born from her refusal to let go of what’s already lost.

Across various real-world cultures, the Spider Lily symbolizes finality, death, and rebirth, a meaning that resonates deeply with Phrolova's character.
Much of her later existence was spent in pursuit of resurrecting those she had lost, only to end up causing the very tragedies once inflicted upon her. Yet in death lies the promise of rebirth; and perhaps, through that cycle, she may one day start anew.

A glimpse from the past reveals that Phrolova has met The Rover once, during one of her post-lament performances. There, they exchanged a few words about her song and promised to return once its melody was complete, to help end her suffering.
Unfortunately, that day never came. Feeling abandoned by someone she trusted, Phrolova sank into sorrow; and from that betrayal, a quiet grudge began to bloom.

During the events of the Main Story, the Grand Architect takes on the guise of Triss, a young girl from Phrolova’s old village. Speaking as this echo of a lost loved one, they urge Phrolova to stall her own goals in favor of Cristoforo’s greater plan.
Not much is currently known about the Grand Architect, though they are presumed to be the elusive leader of the Fractsidus. Possessing an ability to alter their form and the authority to command the Overseers, they move in accordance with a grand design known only to them.

Since Version 2.5, Phrolova has become a playable character with a kit that focuses on Echo Skill DMG. She is a Havoc Rectifier Resonator capable of summoning Hecate in battle through her Resonance Liberation!
