The first half teams won't really care much about Resonance Energy so they are in the first half. This way, you can quickly swap between characters to pass their Outro Buffs to the DPS!
The Phrolova team is the best one to use for this half of Infinite Torrents, as the team perfectly aligns with the token Sail Against the Storm, an Echo Skill DMG-centric token! If you're using any other team however, make sure to use your Echo before doing any combo to maximize the Havoc DMG Bonus provided by the token.

The second half team is mostly composed of Electro or Fusion characters, with special mention to Augusta's team since they can perfectly use the token Gaze that Drowns in Dream. Augusta provides shields for herself, so she can stack Ember quickly so the special Burning Waves Electro AoE is almost always active.
In addition, having this team on the second half makes sure their Liberations are activated which allows you to start with Augusta with a powerful tap-Liberation attack immediately.
Though not as effective as the Augusta team, Xiangli Yao can make use of the Electro DMG Bonus part of the token though he will not be able to reliably proc the bonus Ember because he cannot self-produce shields. The premium Aero teams of Jiyan and Cartethyia is can also benefit a bit from the Aero DMG Bonus, but will also not generate Ember as quickly as Augusta's.

Whimpering Wastes can also be completed by using the best teams in your account.
A Golden Token that makes the Burning Waves state permanent is also something you can use for a straight up 60% + 50% extra DMG, so almost all teams will have a buff and can be viable. Note that you will have to play extremely well to get SSS Rank, but getting S Rank to get all rewards is doable.
In addition, the Environment Report increases the DMG dealt is increased by 3% which makes this final stage very flexible in terms of team composition.
Do note also that maximum rewards does not require an SSS rank and you can get the full rewards for WhiWa at S Rank only! If you cannot reach SSS immediately this rotation, atleast aim for S!
We have noted down the team compositions that we used to comfortably clear Infinite Torrents and get SSS Rank.
Note that our team compositions are using two premium teams: Phrolova's Echo Skill Team and Augusta's Heavy Electro Team.
These two teams are so far the best teams to use in Whimpering Wastes for this rotation as they offer insane amounts of DPS with the Golden Tokens provided while able to keep enemies grouped with various grouping skills.
We suggest using these two teams if you have them built.

We opted to use Phrolova's Echo team in the first half because it starts with a full Concerto Energy since Phrolova does not really care about Resonance Energy. Just make sure to switch characters after her Liberation even though it's tempting to switch out and trigger her Outro skill immediately.
For the second team, being able to execute Augusta's tap-Liberation immediately will help the team greatly. With this, you can start with Augusta's tap-Liberation to group enemies and deal damage before switching to Shorekeeper and set up Augusta's buffs. Immediately do Augusta's combos and end with her hold-Liberation that stops time and deals insane damage.
Be sure to time Augusta's Liberation at the start of a wave, as finishing all enemies at the end of the wave will cause the final burst to hit nothing. Based on our testing, enemies do not spawn while inside Augusta's time-stop state in Whimpering Wastes.
We do not know if this is a bug, but multi-wave contents like the Nightmare Nests continues spawning even if Augusta's time-stop ability is active.
We suggest using teams that has a lot of groupings though since you are going to fight waves of multiple enemies. Teams which feature Jiyan, Roccia, and Shorekeeper will shine in this stage because these characters have crowd control capabilities!
In addition to teams with grouping and crowd control, Resonators that have innate AoE damage capabilities shine brightly in Whimpering Wastes.
Resonators like Camellya, Zani, and Cartethyia are the best examples, so use their best teams to easily get SSS!
We suggest using challenge buffs efficiently by maximizing the Intro Skills of the team members in the 1st Half at the start, and casting the Resonance Liberation skills of team members in the 2nd Half during the start of combat.
Start focusing on ideal rotations after the initial usage of these challenge buffs is maximized to clear the stage more efficiently.
