Daiwa Scarlet (Peak Blue) Career Training Tips

Training Tips

Run Her As A Pace Chaser

When using Daiwa Scarlet it is recommended to run her as a Pace Chaser, as she has Innate and Potential skills designed for Pace Chasers. This includes Race Planner and Prepared To Pass. This also gives her access to other strong skills from Support cards like Gourmand.

Front Runner Is Also Possible

If you have not increased Daiwa Scarlet's Potential level yet, you can also choose to run her as a Front Runner. This makes her more straightforward to train, although you will need to adjust your Support Cards to provide skills for Front Runners.

Increase Her Potential Levels

Daiwa Scarlet's strong skills are locked behind Potential levels, so try to max it to Level 5. This will give her access to Preferred Position's upgraded version Race Planner.

If you do not have the Monies or materials to do so, reaching Potential Level 3 is enough to gain access to Killer Tunes.

Improve Her Long Aptitude

Although Daiwa Scarlet's career is mostly made up of Mile and Medium races, her last race is the Arima Kinen, a Long race. As such, it is recommended to improve her Long aptitude to A to make it easier to win the race.

Alternatively, you can choose to just improve her Medium aptitude to account for a majority of her races, then win the Arima Kinen through Stats.

Run in the Japanese Oaks

Before Daiwa Scarlet's career race in Late May of the Classic Year, you will encounter the event "Her". In this event, you will decide which race Daiwa Scarlet will compete in: the Japanese Oaks or the Japanese Derby.

If it is your first time training Daiwa Scarlet, or you are not yet used to the game, it is highly recommended that you race in the Japanese Oaks. This is because choosing to race in the Japanese Derby will have you compete against Vodka, who is a difficult opponent this early in the game.

Additionally, racing and winning in the Japanese Oaks is a requirement if you want to get the Triple Tiara.

Champions Meeting Stats

Speed Stamina Power Guts Wit
1100+ 1050+ 600+ 400+ 400+

We recommend these stats for Daiwa Scarlet as she will primarily run as a Pace Chaser and will need Stamina both to keep her pace and to account for enemy debuffers. Having up to two Gold Recovery skills will help you survive debuffs during the race.

It's important to note that you will need to upgrade her Long aptitude to A to make using her in the Gemini Cup feasible. You can do this using Legacies and Sparks.

Skills

We recommend these skills for Daiwa Scarlet as these can help her get the Speed and Stamina that she needs for the race. This also takes into account the possible debuffers that she will encounter during the race, which can be offset by the two Gold Recovery skills.

As Daiwa Scarlet will be a Pace Chaser, taking Unique skills like Red Shift/LP1211-M and Triumphant Pulse will help you close out races.

Recommended Stats

Speed Stamina Power Guts Wit
1000 800 700 300 400

Whether as a Front Runner or a Pace Chaser in Mile and Medium races, Daiwa Scarlet will benefit from high Stamina and Power. Give her high Speed as well, and she can easily take out the competition. Focus on Stamina if you want her to be a Front Runner, and give her more Power if you want her to be a Pace Chaser.

It is important to note that if you cannot reach the stats recommended above, you can instead aim for a similar stat distribution. You can then compensate for the missing stats using skills. Additionally, if you are only planning on clearing a career run with Daiwa Scarlet then you can aim for lower stat numbers, as the stats above are a baseline for Team Trials.

We recommend a 4 Speed, 1 Stamina, 1 Power deck for Daiwa Scarlet. This gives her balanced stats for her preferred race lengths and pace preference.

These cards will help Daiwa Scarlet level her needed Stats (especially with Rainbow/Friendship Training), as well as provide some needed skills like Swinging Maestro and Homestretch Haste.

Alternate SR Support Cards

Alternate Cards
Mayano Top Gun (Cute + Cute = ?) Support Card

Agnes Tachyon (Experimental Studies on Subject A) Support Card
Great Medium speed skills and debuffs
Mihono Bourbon (Pal-Assisted Training) Support Card
Strong Front Runner skills
Hishi Amazon (Reach to the Top!) Support Card
Good for Pace Chasers and End Closers

If you do not have the cards from the recommended deck, you can replace them with a similar stat card that provides skills that Daiwa Scarlet needs. These can be SSR cards, or even SR cards. Above are some of the SR cards that you can use in place of SSR Support cards.

Recommended Legacy Sparks

3★ Long

Get Stamina and Power sparks for Daiwa Scarlet as she will primarily be racing Mile and Medium races. You can also get Speed sparks if you want. For race length sparks, you can get either Medium or Long sparks, with Medium helping with most of her career races, and Long helping her beat her finall career race.

For running style sparks, go for Front Runner or Pace Chaser sparks as these will push either of those styles from A to S.

You can use either your own Veterans, or borrow the ones from your friends. If you do not have Veterans with full sparks, you can go with whatever you have access to.

When picking Legacies, try to select compatible legacies, as they increase the chance of inheriting additional sparks during the Inheritance events. This is not required, but is highly recommended.

If you do not have access to fully compatible legacies, it is enough to ensure that you have at least good compatibility with your selected legacies.

Up-Tempo ImageUp-Tempo Killer Tunes ImageKiller Tunes Homestretch Haste ImageHomestretch Haste

Daiwa can race as either a Front Runner or a Pace Chaser, so speed and maneuvering skills are a must. Up-Tempo is a great skill for the late race, especially if you're running as a Pace Chaser.

Homestretch Haste can help in the final stretch, be it in building a lead or catching up, while Swinging Maestro and Gourmand will help with keeping your energy topped up, even without much Stamina.

If you cannot get the recommended skills, you can replace them with similar skills that you have access to. You will just need to make sure that Daiwa Scarlet can activate said skills in a race.

Unyielding, strong-willed, and cheeky, she wants to be number one at everything she does. She usually plays the role of the perfect, mild-mannered honor student, but the truth is that she hates losing more than anything else. If it'll help her be number one, she'll go through any training—no matter how grueling. She sees her rather showy roommate Vodka as both her motivation and her rival.

should probably add context to the choice between the Japanese Oaks vs Japanese Derby as the Oaks race is a requirement for Triple Tiara. (the other two goal races being Oka Sho and Shuka Sho, before and after the choice).
