Waylaid Walkthrough

Note: Waylaid can only be accomplished before the Third Keystone has been obtained or the ON Peacekeepers will be found dead in their location.
  1. Talk to the ON Peacekeepers in Acasa Marshes
  2. Look for the ON Military Radio
  3. Search for the Metformin Pills
  4. Bring the Items to the ON Peacekeepers

1. Speak with the ON Peacekeepers Under a Monolith in Acasa Marshes

Hell is Us - Look for the Lymbic Monolith southwest from the Village of Jova
Look for the Lymbic Monolith southwest from the Village of Jova. Tread your way under the monolith and look for the two ON Peacekeepers.

Hell is Us - Talk to the Irritated ON Peacekeeper
Talk to the Irritated ON Peacekeeper, Roho Katungi. He will tell you that they need to contact their unit through a SatCom Radio.

Speak with the Panicked ON Peacekeeper, Typhon Guile. He will let you know that he is running low on Metformin, which he needs to maintain his sickness.

2. Look for the ON Military Radio in Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy

Hell is Us - Pick the Keycard - Ministry from the corpse
Fast travel to Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy. You must have already finished Act 1 to be able to travel to this location. After arriving, make your way down to the P2 basement parking and look for the corpse lying near the ambulance. Loot the corpse to receive the Keycard - Ministry.

Hell is Us - From Marton Ralst
Go up to the topmost floor. From Marton Ralst's Office, proceed onwards then go left on the first corner. Afterwards, turn left once again upon seeing the Coronation Painting to get to another office.
2.3
Hell is Us - Take the Satellite Radio from the corpse by the doorstep
Unlock the room inside with the Keycard - Ministry. Enter this room and unlock the other door going to the other side of the hallway. Loot the corpse outside the doorstep to receive the Satellite Radio. This will activate the Good Deed. Keep this, then fast travel to Talju.

3. Search for the Pill Bottle - Metformin in Talju

3.1
Hell is Us - Loot the corpse on the bridge for the Key - Pharmacy
From the entrance of the Town Hall, take the sidewalk going to the right. Then, go left until you find a bridge with the huge burning tree on sight. Loot the corpse on the bridge to obtain the Key - Pharmacy.
3.2
Hell is Us - Go through the Town Hall to unlock the Phramacy at the back
Retrace your steps to the Town Hall and slip through the other side. Go behind the Pharmacy in the neighboring building and unlock the door to go inside. Pick up the Pill Bottle - Metformin from one of the clinic bedrooms. Take note that Caspian Fran's questline must have already ended during the Keystone of Terror investigation in order to access the Pharmacy's back door.

4. Bring the Items to the ON Peacekeepers in Acasa Marshes

Hell is Us - Trade the Pill Bottle - Metformin
Once you have obtained both of the Satellite Radio and the Pill Bottle - Metformin, go back to the ON Peacekeepers waiting under the Monolith in Acasa Marshes. Trade the Pill Bottle - Metformin with Typhon Guile. He will thank you for saving his life.

Hell is Us - Trade the Satellite Radio
Trade the Satellite Radio with Roho Katungi. You will both find out that no one is responding at the other end of the radio. Once you have traded both items with the ON Peacekeepers, the Good Deed will conclude.

Outcomes Depending on Main Story Progression

Scenario Outcome
The Good Deed was accomplished before the Third Keystone was obtained. Both ON Peacekeepers will survive in the Village of Jova.
The Good Deed was resumed after the Third Keystone was obtained. Both ON Peacekeepers will be found dead under the Monolith.

Between the two outcomes, the only way to achieve the Good Deed is if the needed items have been delivered to the respective ON Peacekeepers before obtaining the Third Keystone. Be careful not to progress too far into the main story if Waylaid has yet to be completed.

These are the rewards you can get from upon completing the Waylaid Good Deed. Return to the Watcher's Nest and speak with Gildas Brom to claim the rewards.

How to Unlock Waylaid

Pick Up the Pill Bottle - Metformin or the Satellite Radio

Waylaid is activated once you pick up the Pill Bottle - Metformin or the Satellite Radio. The Good Deed is divided between two ON Peacekeepers where their requests can be done in any order. You will need to trade both items in order to accomplish this.

The Good Deed has a deadline before the player obtains the Third Keystone, so be mindful once you find yourself progressing too far into the main story.
