1000 Stamina is the minimum optimal amount against expected Finals competition in the Gemini Cup. Try to push past the minimum as much as you can while maintaining Speed at also above 1000.
ⓘ Risks can be made with 900 Stamina. But beware of Debuffers that can hinder your Umamusume near the end of the race.
800 Stamina and below is the danger zone for PvP Long races even with Gold Recovery Skills.

The Gemini Cup will be a big trial by fire for PvP training: maxing out Stamina while trying to balance Speed. You will need to build both Speed and Stamina above 1000. Unless your are extremely lucky, expect most of the time to have your Power under 700 as the result of maximizing only Speed and Stamina while contributing to Wit.

Supplement Stamina with Recovery Skills

When aiming for maximum Speed and Power while having high Wit, it's expected that building high Stamina (especially more than 1000) in this scenario is a tall order.

This why it is recommended to supplement Stamina with Recovery Skills since they serve as efficient options to have if you cannot build enough stamina. Having them will also help pad your stamina against debuff skills.

The projected strong picks for the Gemini Cup will be Aces that excel in End Closer styles. Gold Ship and Narita Taishin are standouts in this case, followed by other Long racers such as Agnes Tachyon, Daiwa Scarlet, and Mejiro McQueen.

Pace Chasers can still be contenders if built well (recommended with Gold Recovery skills), while getting Front Runners to sustain a lead will be a tall order due to the difficulties of obtaining the necessary skills and stamina requirements.

Because of this, it is a viable strat to convert Umamusume to End Closer styles for easier stamina management and a higher potential for overtakes in the last spurt of the race.

Nice Nature and Grass Wonder are still viable picks for this race since they both have A aptitudes for Long to start with. Matikane Fukukitaru is a new entry to this list of debuffers, since she can have Long-exclusive debuffs (Smoke Screen, Illusionist) and Trick (Rear).

You will still have to try building Stamina for them to keep up with other racers in the Long race.

Haru Urara, can serve as a debuffer in a unique case; building her as a 'sandbag' Front Runner and a Narita Taishin counter. Note that whether Haru Urara will be effective or not depends on whether there will be another Strong Front Runner to compete with, so it's still a risky gamble compared to standard debuff strats.

When building Haru Urara, do not raise her Turf and Long distance aptitudes. You can still build her stats similarly to how Taurus Cup Nice Nature is built, picking up End Closer debuffs and other debuffs in career. But her low aptitudes will serve a secondary purpose in the Cup.

Once Haru Urara falls last, she turns into a potential counter to Narita Taishin's Sleeping Lion. Being far behind the pack, she creates a large distance between the front racer and the back, making Sleeping Lion's activation very difficult to achieve.

Above are our recommendations for Support Cards to build your Umamusume for the Gemini Cup Champions Meeting. You can try your luck with the Pal Support Card Tazuna Hayakawa (Tracen Reception), but we usually go with maximizing Speed and Stamina types to increase chances of Friendship Training.

We suggest a deck combo of 4-Speed and 2-Stamina or 3-Speed and 3-Stamina to get you at the optimal balance of over 1000 Speed and 1000 Stamina. For debuffers, prioritize Support Cards that give buffs for End Closers, then Pace Chasers and Late Surgers.
