Lymbic Spheres can be considered as the game’s elemental system. There are four distinct spheres, each representing a unique element. Every sphere has its own symbol, set of glyphs, and activation pattern used to trigger effects on defensive gear. However, despite having different uses and effects, there are no special interactions between each sphere.

Lymbic Spheres in the game are things you can attach to weapons and defensive gear upon upgrading them at the blacksmith. Lymbic Spheres can also be pre-attached to the weapon already, like the Greatsword of Rage. A weapon or defensive gear can only have one Lymbic Sphere.

The only thing Lymbic Spheres do is that they decide which type of glyph a weapon or defensive gear can use. For example, a weapon or defensive gear with a Rage Lymbic Sphere allows that weapon to equip Rage Glyphs.
It also decides which type of shard the piece of gear uses when you increase its Lymbic Energy.
Based from our testing, Lymbic Spheres do not have type advantage. This means that even if you hit a Haze of Rage with a weapon that has a Rage Lymbic Sphere, it will still do the same damage.
