 Hunter Crest
|
 Available by default at the very start of the game. |
Stalk prey and attack with lethal strikes.
Base Tool Slots:     |
 Reaper Crest
|
 Obtained at the Chapel of the Reaper at Greymoor. You can find the chapel far west of the Halfway Home. |
Attack with heavy, arcing slashes and reap additional Silk from enemies.

 Wanderer Crest
|
 Found in the Bonegrave in the area west of Moss Grotto. You'll need a Simple Key to unlock the area. |
Cut swiftly and numbly with short, precise strikes.

 Beast Crest
|
 Obtained by defeating the Savage Beastfly boss inside the Beast Chapel of The Hunter's March area. |
Tear foes with savage slashes. Bind to enter a wild fury and steal life from prey.

 Witch Crest
|
 Obrained by completing the Rite of Rebirth wayfarer quest during Act II. |
Whip the needle in sweeping swings. Leech the life of foes through twisted roots.

 Obtained by purchasing the Architect's Key from the Twelfth Architect and unlocking the gate above her room. |
Spin the needle as a screw, shredding foes. Spend Silk to rapidly craft new tools.

 Shaman Crest
|
 Obtained in the Ruined Chapel after meeting the Shaman. This requires Silk Soar, as it’s the only way to reach the hidden area beyond the Shamans. |
Cast the blade forward and empower Silk Skills with powerful runes.

How to Upgrade Crests
Memory Lockets to Unlock More Slots
To unlock more slots for your crests, you will need to gather Memory Lockets, which can be obtained through various ways, like picking up a white glowing item you see on the ground or through merchants.
What Are Crests?
Changes Hornet's Moveset and Effects
Crests are a type of equipment that allows you to change Hornet's moveset. This can range from allowing you to poke enemies from a much further distance to having a running uppercut attack to deal with aerial enemies.
This lets players have varied moveset that cater towards their preferred playstyle.
Lets You Equip Tools
Aside from allowing the player to change their moveset, Crests are also needed to use your tools. Each crests have a different number of slots in which you slot in your tools to use them.
The type of slots you can equip tools with also changes depending on the crest you have.
Vesticrests Let You Equip More Tools
Aside from the slots allowed by your equipped crest, the Vesticrest will provide two extra slots to equip tools which remain equipped regardless of your currently equipped crest. To find the Vesticrest, players will need to speak to Eva at Weavenest Atla.
Vesticrest Location and How to Expand
Can be Equipped at a Bench
Hornet can change crests while resting at any bench for free. Open up your menu and input the command on the bottom left corner of the screen to open up your list of crests. Tools can be assigned to multiple crests, and will be retained after switching.

You do not need a key for the wanderer, you can climb up from the closed door and get to the the other side with the wall jump
