Best Shell Shard Farming Spot
Purchase Shard Bundles in Deep Docks
If you are in the market for farming Rosary beads at the same time, the best way to have a stock of Shell Shards at a time is to purchase Shard Bundles for 50 Rosary beads from the Forge Daughter, a shopkeeper in Deep Docks.
This method will net you 1,600 Shell Shards if purchasing the max amount of Shard Bundles.
Forge Daughter Location
The Forge Daughter can be easily found beside one of the benches in Deep Docks. This is the nearest bench save point before fighting Lace.
Defeat Pond Skippers
In Shellwood, enemies called Pond Skippers can be found floating on top of water. These easy enemies drop 3 shards each upon death and spawn infinitely so players can camp out on one of the wooden platforms and wait for them to spawn for a consistent flow of Shell Shards!

Defeat Enemies
Shell Shards are obtained alongside Rosaries when defeating enemies. The best way to farm Shell Shards is to keep entering and re-entering enemy-heavy locations to refresh spawning.
This is made easier if you choose to farm Shell Shards in an area early in the game, as enemies tend to be slower.
Destroy Shell Shard Deposits
Shell Shards can also be obtained through various Shell Shard Deposits all over the map. When you come across these statues, simply attack it to get all the Shell Shards from it.

The shopkeeper of Pilgrim's Rest, located in Far Fields will sell Hornet a Tool Pouch that allows her to carry more tools and increase the Shell Shard limit.

Loddie in The Marrow will also give you a Tool Pouch upgrade after successfully hitting the target 15 times.

How to Use Shell Shards
Repairing Hornet's Tools
Hornet has a variety of Tools she can uses as throwable items to damage enemies with alongside her trusty needle. The tool's durability is noted down with the Tool Meter beside your Silk Meter, on the top left of the screen.
Sitting at a Bench will automatically use Shell Shards to repair the equipped Tool, filling up the circle once again and using up the required Shell Shards needs for it.

Shell Shards are a crafting material used to make and replenish Tools for Hornet to use in her adventure all over Pharloom.
Not Lost After Death
Unlike Rosaries, Shell Shards are kept after death. Players do not need to worry about losing their Shell Shards when losing against a boss!
