Respec your vault hunter's skill trees in Borderlands 4 by spending cash in the Respec Machine. Learn how to reset your skill tree and when to do it by reading our guide below!

How to Respec Skill Tree
Spend Cash in Respec Machine
Spend Cash in the Respec Machine to refund your character's skill points in their skill trees. This will let you reinvest your vault hunter's skills points in other nodes or skill trees. The price is roughly around 10% of your total Cash.
Early Respec Machine found in The Launchpad
You first gain access to a Respec Machine during the 3rd main mission Down and Outbound. It will be in a building with the Gold Key Chest and the Lost Loot Machine.
Choose Which Skill Trees to Respec
You can choose which skill tree/s to respec. This means you can refund the skill points in one or two skill trees, without resetting the ones you want to remain the same. Holding the button to respec a skill tree will respec all of them.
You can keep respecing until you leave the menu. So, you can take your time and make your new build in the respec menu. If the build is still not for you, respec the skill tree again.
When to Respec Skill Tree
Change Build or Main Element for Boss
Resetting your skill trees can prepare your vault hunter for a specific encounter or boss. Optimize around their weakpoints and strengths to have a better chance at beating them.
