The Onslaughter build uses the Calamity tree to stack incendiary damage, gun damage, and status effect boosts, massively increasing your fire weapon DPS. Activating the Onslaughter Action Skill also grants shield regeneration for survivability and bonus fire damage, often giving you enough burst to wipe out a boss in a single activation.

The best skills for the Onslaughter build in the Calamity tree enhance status effects while stacking direct boosts to Gun and Incendiary damage.
From the Vengeance tree, prioritize The Thrill early for consistent health regeneration.
From Levels 1~35, focus on stacking points into gun, incendiary, and status effect passives, rushing toward the third Calamity branch to unlock its Augment and Capstone. With these passives in place, you can start effectively soloing bosses for farming.
From Level 36 onward, invest in the Vengeance tree to improve survivability while further boosting DPS through enhanced status effects, magazine size, and gun damage.

Stormcutter is a great tool for cutting through boss and enemy armor while also reducing Onslaughter’s cooldown or extending its duration if already active.
Ripper guns that apply fire status effects are excellent for this build, offering a rapid rate of fire after a short spin-up that melts through enemies and can beam down bosses with sustained fire.

SMGs are ideal for Onslaughter Amon, offering rapid fire, constant DPS, and great mobility for run-and-gun play. Use elemental variants, especially incendiary for good damage even at range.
Elemental Weakness Chart and Damage Guide
When fighting bosses or mobs on the ground, get in close with an Incendiary Shotgun to deal massive burst damage while applying strong burn effects for sustained DPS.

The Melting Furnace Legendary Class Mod is the best option for this Amon build, significantly boosting your Incendiary output. It can be farmed as a drop from Idolator Sol.
Before this, you can also use normal Class Mods that add skill points in the Calamity tree and provide passive boosts to status effect damage and gun damage.
| Enhancement | Effects |
|---|---|
| Ripper Enhancement |
・High Roller - Guns with Ripper-licensed parts increase Gun Damage by 2% for each consecutive shot fired, for a Maximum 25 stacks. ・Gun Status Effect Damage - Increased by +25%. |
Equipping a Ripper Enhancement with the High Roller effect is best for damage. Ones with Gun Status Effect Damage or raw Gun Damage increases are ideal as well.
At the start of boss fights, activate Onslaughter to gain a massive boost in incendiary damage, status effect application, and shield regeneration, allowing your weapons to burst down enemies much faster.
Burn damage is the key to this build, so keep up constant fire on the boss, focusing especially on critical hit spots to maximize your DPS. With incendiary status effects stacking rapidly, the damage will stack up fast.
If a boss is resistant to fire and has shield or armor health bars, switch to the appropriate element to counter them effectively. While this build excels with incendiary damage, it still delivers strong status effect damage with other elements, though you won’t burn through shielded or armored bosses as quickly as those with red health bars.
Elemental Weakness Chart and Damage Guide
This build relies on Elemental Status effects, namely Incendiary for max damage. The skills in the Calamity tree stack up the damage boosts to your guns and fire, and turns Onslaughter into a great active buff to your shots.
For weapons, Elemental Ripper SMGs and Shotguns are best, preferably with fire properties. Be sure to carry backup weapons in Corrosive or Shock to deal with any armor you may come across.

This Amon build is specifically designed for Boss Farming, putting heavy investment in Amon's Incendiary and Status Effect damage.
Through our testing, Normal Bosses in Hard difficulty can be cleared in less than 1 minute under optimized conditions.
This build specializes in single-target burst DPS. It can still be used for leveling and clearing the story, but it's weaker at clearing large groups of powerful enemies, especially the large number of armored Order enemies.
If you are facing difficulties in using this build for leveling, you can try a more survivable build. Our Amon leveling build is more tanky, has powerful Cryo AoE for mobs, and solid boss clearing.
