Found in Watershed Gate
Sludgemaw is located in Watershed Gate, Idolator's Noose in Fadefields. Sludgemaw appears as a boss encounter in the side mission, All Charged Up. Keep in mind that you must first complete the Null and Void side mission before All Charged Up becomes available.
Sludgemaw can also be repeatedly farmed after you complete All Charged Up. Return to the location after the main mission and spend cash at the Moxxi's Big Encore Machine near the entrance of the boss arena to re-farm it.
How to Beat Sludgemaw
Stay on Top of the Cargo Container
Climbing on top of the nearby cargo container gives you a good vantage point against Sludgemaw. From here, you can maintain consistent damage while avoiding most of its melee attacks.
