This is a walkthrough for the Exit Through the Rift Shop side mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to follow the objectives and clear the mission, as well as whether you should shoot or punch Francis Oddman.
How to Unlock Exit Through the Rift Shop
Interact With the Corpse in The Low Leys
To start Exit Through the Rift Shop, interact with the corpse under the bridge on the frozen lake, located south of Wreck of the Seventh Cradle in The Low Leys.
Should You Shoot or Punch Francis Oddman?
Punch Francis Oddman to Unlock Trophy and Achievement
At the end of the mission, you're given the choice to either punch or shoot Francis Oddman. This is a missable Trophy/Achievement, as shooting him will lock you out of Rift Incompatible.
Punch him instead and this will push Francis Oddman into the rift, allowing you to find his final resting place at Windspear and unlock the Trophy/Achievement.

Gather Machine Parts

| 1 |  Travel to Deep Seven Silo, northeast of Dissected Plateau. Head to the building just north of the silo and talk to Francis Oddman inside. |
| 2 |  Head to the Order encampment in Waterstop, east of Coastal Bonescape. Be ready, as there will be enemies in the area! |
| 3 |  Collect three machine parts: the first two are on the upper level, and the third is on the lower level, below the bridge. Melee the containers to remove the lid, then grab the parts. |
| 4 | After collecting the machine parts, return to Francis Oddman. Go upstairs of his building and place the machine parts to the marked spots. This will create a rift. |
Release Prisoners

| 1 |  Jump into the rift using your grappling hook and this will take you to an Order facility. Kill Order forces in the area! |
| 2 |  Follow the marked location and press the button near the stairs to release the prisoners. While optional, we recommend talking to the three prisoners to get a better mission reward. |
| 3 |  Climb up the ledge using your grappling hook in the southern part of the area and enter through the vent on the right. |
| 4 |  Once inside the storage room, shoot the lock of the the locker in the middle, second to the left, and get the enriched Eridium. |
| 5 | Return to the rift you came from and throw the Eridium into it. |
Confront Francis Oddman

| 1 | Jump back into the rift to return to the overworld. Kill the Order forces in the area! |
| 2 |  Head back inside the building to confront Francis Oddman. You can then either punch or shoot him. Regardless of your choice, the mission will be completed. |
| * | Note that shooting Francis Oddman will lock you out of the Rift Incompatible Trophy/Achievement. We recommend punching him instead. This will push Francis Oddman into the rift and allow you to find his body later at Windspear, unlocking the Trophy/Achievement. |

Absolute Astra Skin
Completing Exit Through the Rift Shop will also reward you with the Absolute Astra Skin, a Vault Hunter Style that you can use in the Customization menu.
