Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will make changes to its upcoming DLC following the backlash from its announcement. In a post on the game’s official Twitter (X) on August 27, the developers stated that they will be making adjustments to the paid DLC clans, namely Lasombra and Toreador.
Fans were baffled by the developers’ decision not to include both clans in the base game, as they are vital in the story, and think that they should have been included in the base game. Instead, they will be included in the Shadows & Silk DLC that will be available day one when the game launches.
Publisher Paradox Interactive has shown precedence for this kind of rollback before with their launch of Cities: Skylines 2 back in 2023, which had a $10 post-launch DLC that was panned for being underwhelming. The publisher ended up offering the Beach Properties DLC for free shortly after, and even provided refunds to those who already purchased it.
Players are hoping that the same thing will happen with Bloodlines 2, especially since there are still a few months before its release. According to Paradox, more information about the upcoming adjustments for the DLC will be shared as soon as possible.
Video Roadmap Revealed
Bloodlines 2 is ramping up towards its launch, and several video showcases of the game will be released during its lead-up. Following its latest livestream on August 28, where they previewed early moments of the game, there will be seven more videos to come before the game’s release.
Based on the game's official Twitter (X) post on August 27, here are the upcoming videos slated for the coming months:
● September 3: Clan Ventrue
● September 10: Clan Tremere
● September 17: Clan Brujah
● September 24: Banu Haqim
● October 1: Voice Acting Cast
● October 8: Clan Lasombra
● October 15: Clan Toreador

Despite the numerous delays and backlash the game has received, Paradox and The Chinese Room continue to work on the anticipated vampire action RPG and deliver a great sequel to the 2004 classic.
